It's all too perfect timing. If he does fall on the sword, this will open up Clinton to run in 2016.

I have no idea if it's true or not, but I have heard that a high ranking official in the Navy was dismissed of his duties last week, supposedly one of the big wigs on board one of the aircraft carriers in or near the Mediterranean Sea?

I figured if true he would be the one to take the blame?

I think they are looking for ANYONE to take the blame, other than the actual goverenment officials. I mean, President Clinton can have an affair while in office, and lie about it, but it's just toooooooo much for the CIA director to have an affiar.

It really is disappointing and insulting for the federal government to think it's citizens are that stupid.

Well, conservatives not thinking they weren't hardline enough is pretty funny. "We didn't get enough votes, so we need to do more to divide with our already divisive public image!"

And for Petraeus, I can sort of see the conspiracy here, but I would think that even if he wasn't the acting Director of the CIA, he could still be brought in for the hearing. Being in the chair or not really doesn't have any impact on whether or not someone does or doesn't have information when they were in that position. Plus, Petraeus' affair was already scuttlebutt during the course of the book being written. Hell, the woman's husband even went semi-public (alluding to it, but not naming names) prior to the Benghazi incident.

If you ask me, if it is an excuse to keep Petraeus out of the hearing, I wouldn't call it conspiracy, I'd call it a damn weak cop-out based on a semi-convenient situation. I

Petraeus is only a man, KRAM. And a man can only resist so much before inevitably surrendering to the troop surge in his pants.

This is all unpatriotic speculation on our part. Petraeus is not the type of person that annouces a timetable for withdrawal. He will not pull out until the job is done. 'Murica!!!

Or in this case, your top secret clearance.

Yeah, a cop I knew said that if a woman was stopped for a traffic violation and flashed her boobs, she DID get the ticket. I hate it for Petraeus, he was great at what he did, but he needed to keep it in his pants better.

And as soon as the election’s over, as soon as he can be dispensed with, the sword drops and he’s destroyed. I mean, can you imagine what it’s like to be on that pressure and to think it didn’t distort or at least in some way unconsciously influence his testimony? That’s hard to believe.

If Krauthammer is correct, it's going to be very interesting to see if and how the Obama-loving media reports it...."
