Dates for UTEP's Conference USA schedule for 2013 won't be set until spring at the earliest, but the opponents are set and there are no surprises.

On the West side, UTSA will sub in for Houston and North Texas will sub in for SMU. That means UTEP travel to North Texas next season instead of SMU and host UTSA instead of Houston

And according to posts in this thread, we play at Marshall (not East Carolina- my bad) and host East Carolina

Using the logic they are presenting, that we will take over smoo's schedule, we will play

Vs Idaho

@ Ohio

Vs Ball State

@ Georgia

Vs UTEP

Vs Tulane

Vs Rice

Vs ECU

@ UTSA

@ Tulsa

@ UAB

@ Marshall

Edited to include OOC schedule

Probably need to remove one easy division team and add LA Tech

Smoo played Memphis last season and one of the posters said that latech would take Memphis' schedule, and that this year was the end of the two year crossover rotation, meaning we (smoo's schedule) would not play latech (I.e.Memphis). Confused yet?

Edit: following additional logic, we should have smoo's 2009 conference schedule (substitute UTSA for Houston)

that is a very winnable schedule right now, especially OOC, Georgia can be up or down so much better than LSU, Bama, etc.....

Yet some say 5 wins is an acceptable standard.

you trying to take my negative title away, I won't allow it. You're better than I am on the cheering side

I think the UTEP game could be pretty well attended as they have a lot of DFW alumni and will have a new coach. The last time we had RIce we had 24K.

Very nice. I'm excited already. Will be a truly different schedule starting next season. Hopefully we can get things together with our football program so that we can started winning in CUSA next season.

I'll just put it down... This is the best football schedule we have had EVER and will only get better in the following year when the SMU series starts! Seriously, someone prove me wrong but I don't see a better overall schedule with recognizable teams that are coming to Denton in the modern era...

I like this schedule. The only home game that isn't likely to draw 25,000+ (barring bad weather) may be Ball State.

Not if we're 3-6 going into our last home game like this year. It won't matter which of the teams on that schedule we play at home, it will be poorly attended.

Last year would have been close with IU and UH, but the stink of the Belt Unknowns tarnishes it at the end,
