Give me your ideas. please?

My wife and I go to the Embassy Suites for a weekend night just to get away once a month or so. $100 per night gets us a free 2 hour binge drinking session with premium beers and liquors, a shuttle to whichever local restaurant we would like to be dropped off curbside, pick up from restaurant back to hotel, an indoor pool and hot tub, and then cooked to order breakfast in the morning. link below

I feel like this is a pretty awesome value, and it's close. When we drive out of the parking garage, which is free parking, we see the daylight and feel like we've been gone for a few nights and not just one.

It's a very refreshing staycation.

We have stayed at the B&B in Denton twice. That was nice, but we got violently ill with a stomach bug last time. So, through no fault of their own, we have that lasting impression of the place. link beolw

Any input on close, nice, fun, cheap-ish, overnight getaways around here??

Galleria- Dallas

The Marriott at the Shops at Legacy (shopping, movie, bars, restaurants...all right there!)

Just to name a couple...also the Mansion on Turtle Creek...great bar ... good food...eat in the bar for a much less expensive (but limited menu as well) meal

The Hotel at the Crescent is also great and you can walk to such places as The Idle Rich, The Gingerman, Black Friar's, Trueluck's, and many other great bars and restaurants.

Bride and I do the same thing once or twice a year and have done so for our 34 years of marriage. Way cool. Really makes for a fun get-a-way and you don't even realize you are near home...the drive nback home is pretty easy as well!

EDIT: You might can tell from the above that any place that doesn't turn the bed covers back and leave a chocolate on the pillow each night is "roughing it" in the opinion of my bride and not worthy of a "stay-cation" venue....Just sayin.....

If you bid on Priceline in the Dallas Galleria area or see a really good rate for a 4 star in the Galleria area on hotwire it is likely the Westin. I've won 2 bids on separate occasions for 55 and 65 per night and it is a fantastic hotel that they fully renovated a couple years ago so you won't go wrong there as its truly 4 star.
