Osborne is just not getting it done out there. It's obvious that he's in over his head. How long is Coach Mac going to let him bring the team down. We need to put the backup backup QB in.

According to ESPN, junior LB Will Wright has thrown 2 passes. It's a mixup of the numbers obviously, but maybe we should take ESPN's advice. It's clear that none of our quarterbacks can play quarterback, so f*ck it, let's go crazy, confuse the shit out of stAte's coaches and players, and run the wildcat with Will Wright at the helm.

I was going to start the thread by saying we need McNulty, but I didn't want the -1's to pile up. Who is our backup QB anyway? Bc isn't McNulty out for the season with an injury?

I know he's being redshirted but I don't think it's due to injury. Don't quote me on that though, not sure.

Hmmmmmmm...Coach Mac's ego just wouldn't allow him to play Osborn. Really? Interesting thought...wrong it seems but interesting none the less.

Osborn probably doesn't care at this point.

Why would you think that? He's an athlete...he practices every day in the hope of getting on the field. I think he cares as he is an athlete and most athletes want to play well.

Was he expect,ing to play? Probably not...so, his head might not have been totally in the game, but that certainly doesn't mean he went into that game not caring how he would play.

Now, you could have meant...doesn't care any longer if he plays or not...if that's the case...I think you might have a point in that he might just be resign to the fact that he won't play.....of course that is much different than not airing how one plays.

      Yep, and thanks. So, are MSU and UTSA the only 2 ranked opponents we’ve ever beaten? I can’t find a good resource for that info but did hear it announced during the Army game. If so, that’s even more pathetic than I first thought: one win was via forfeit and the other was against a startup program.

      Agreed. Similar case can be made for Simon, as he coached in the first few years of our return to D1 when half our games were body bag games. And the guys preceding him were playing D-2 schedules. But, the point is we are historically a really bad program no matter who is coaching, which conference, classification or stadium we’re playing in. Any time a UNT coach has success, we worry he will use as a stepping stone to a better program. We should be so lucky. Hugh Freeze, Mario Cristobal, Lane Kiffin are three former conference opponent coaches that immediately come to mind, now coaching P5 schools.

      An Old Fan's Advice To You Young Fans

      As someone who both hires and fires people, and who has had to tell people “sorry, but you just don’t meet our standard”, I cut Jared Mosley a little slack…until the season has ended. There can be times you know a change needs to be made but, for a myriad of reasons, you choose no comment over good or bad comments and you discreetly do what needs to be done. It isn’t flashy and doesn’t garner the headlines of a hardline “we DEMAND better!” statement, but the job gets done nonetheless. I agree that E. Morris is in well above his head, and beating ECU and a floundering Temple team won’t change that, but I can stomach a change being made at season’s end.
