Dude, I love JJ as much as anyone on this board. I'm gonna keep an eye on how his teams do at LSU. But why the F are we having LSU recruiting threads on here?

Hey, did you know Todd Dodge's quarterback threw for a bunch of yards?

Did you know Riley was really gutsy at North Texas and that he's a GA at aTm?

If this kid had taken the time to read the grumpy old man board he'd know JJ cant coach.

Recruiting and coaching are 2 seperate things.

Just sayin...

Of course, it's a hell of a lot easier to coach the #6 recruiting class in the nation.

Keith Frazier may not be far behind, Detrick Mostella too.

None of them would even see the floor here. Maybe, MAYBE make it as walk-ons or team managers.

Unless we are playing LSU, I don't see how Johnny Jones is currently relevant at all...

The performance of past coaches and players is relevant to some in that it can help in evaluating decision making of the current administration or what root cause of problems were. For example, if after firing coach Dodge he went and coached another team to a national championship, some might conclude that he wasn't the problem and that our decision making around firing him was flawed. Potentially something else is the problem, hypothetically. Similarly, if JJ lights the world on fire, some might conclude our administration doesn't do enough to keep good coaches around.

I'm not saying I feel this way. Just justifying why there is some relevance.

I think y'all have a real good shot @ Frazier

As long as he doesn't attend a game they do have a shot. Nothing turns a recruit off more than the kind of atmosphere at SMU.

You don't know that.

I mean, he could have performance anxiety and would prefer to play in front of a few dozen fans at a time.
