Recently read a post that said we couldn't win w/ a run-first offense...BS

They referenced Boise of course, b/c that's who we have to replicate b/c we are a mid-major...REALLY tired of this

This offense...when the QB isn't killing us...is pretty balanced...see our wins

I would argue that he teams that are really good are not your spread teams...they are your teams that pay defense and can run the ball

Give Mac some freaking time...not 10 years, but more than a season and a half

When the smokes clears in the next 2 years, I think Mac's offense might remind us of D.D.

Nobody is denying that we've improved defensively. But we are a LONG, LONG way from dominant. We gave up nearly 300 yards passing in the first half today. That is unacceptable. And we've taken nearly as big a step backwards offensively.

you need defense to win period. See baylor and georgia tech , two polar opposite offensive philosophies, who arent winning this season, because their D's have struggled. Get your points how ever you like, but defense wins you games IMO.

You are right, I'm just tired of all the doom and gloom...fire Mac, fire Chico, bad offense, etc.

well if the cupboard was so bare when DMac took over then why does he not have a ton of FR/So playing the important position since he led everyone to believe he has skins on the wall, his recruiting has been about par with Dodge's classes.

Not sure many want to watch DMac take his Iowa State 5 year approach.

I think we can all agree the coaching needs to take a ton of responsibility for what happened today.

I'm sure all the players and staff are ashamed of what happened today. I'm sure they'll respond. But i'm not so sure when we'll ever win two in a row again.

You can win with a run first offense, but you need at least a decent QB and a good offensive line for opening holes for the run and the give the QB time to pass.
