I have nothing to say. When you turn the ball over 6 times, you deserve to lose. After this game, I will leave the forum until sometime next week, I'm taking a visit to San Marcos and Texas State to see a good friend of mine anyway...

At least Sims didn't quit.

Guys this is actually a good thing. They need a couple of wins a year to maintain mediocrity. This means that they will have a hard time firing Jones just like they did Doh and the basketball team.

Lets be honest, the ponies have peaked under Jones. The longer he stays the better chance we have at passing them in football.

I find it inconceivable, and quite scary, how Levine could take a 12-1 team and turn it in to this disaster.

I understand UH lost a few key players but this is Dodge Ball bad.

Crap. I had a whole nice longish response all typed out and then my wifi had a brain fart.

Suffice it to say, I agree that this is skeery. I don't know a thing about Levine, but knowing our administration there, they won't fire him if we have a losing season.

And seriously, what's with SMU and all these "cramps" all of a sudden? I've seen maybe 3 or 4 featured on tv already. I'm not making any accusations, but really, it's only happening to the Ponies and not the Coogs? Or maybe our cramps just don't make good tv... :P

Yeah...if everyone from our Tuesday game joined them.

Haha, yeah I was out at the blvd there and was suprised to see just how darned empty the stadium was when i was leaving. Couldn't be more than 4-6000 there.

This is unbelievable.

This makes losing to them even more frustrating.

College football is crazy though. We score 20+ on the road at K-State and can't score 8 points at home against Troy.

SMU gets beat by Tulane and almost scores a 100 on UH.

3 of Houstons INTs were taken back by the SMU DB for six.

And here's a doozie of a score summary from the box score:

Mike Loftus kickoff for 65 yards returned by Ryan Jackson, fumbled, forced by Randall Joyner, recovered by SMU Kevin Pope at the Houst 20, Kevin Pope for 20 yards, to the Houst 0 for a TOUCHDOWN. Chase Hover extra point GOOD.

For a second I was starting to worry about the scoring record from our Navy game, but they still need 3 more TDs to get there. That's about a turnover per minute which is still possible given UH's performance tonight.

Here's the really funny thing (even funnier than UH having more turnovers than points). SMU scored 72 points...and a combined audience (those in attendance and watching on TV) equal to our Tuesday night Apogee attendance witnessed it.

I know this because I left the game at halftime (leaving 10,998 inside) and went to Frankie's to watch the rest. "Dallas' Team" was on NONE of the televisions. Not one...and they have about twenty. A high school game was on one of the tv's at the bar. I wish I could make this stuff up but even my hatred of them cant conjure up a scenario worse than reality.

That was, without a doubt, one of the crappiest football games I've ever seen. And, let's be honest...as a UNT alum, I've seen some crappy football in my day.

I don't care how bad we've ever been, I don't think we ever let a team coming into a game 2-4, and limping in from a loss to the likes of Tulane, to bend us over for 72...on national television. Wow.
