If UT or A&M came to Denton, I'd be ok with the students rushing the field every time we score.

Ditto. Clinching a bowl berth or conference championship or both simultaneously as well. Or basically any ranked team we might finally knock off at home. But I'd agree to skip it every time we beat a team that is 1 or 2 wins ahead of us in the standings.

But as an added note...that comeback was so awesome, we were jumping up and down and screaming at the top of our lungs in our living room in Arizona. So if we had been there and everybody else rushed the field, as exciting as that was, I probably would have done it too.

I'm a man!!! I'm 30!!!!

Granted I was there when we tore down the goal posts after beating NMSU(?) in our glory days. And it was a hell of a lot of fun carrying it around campus and then riding along with it in the back of a friends pick up to Fry Street as well.

I was there for that as well, one of my fondest memories of college football, I was a freshman I think... So much fun carrying that thing around the field and then to the admin building to light the tower. Then on to Fry St. Lou was particularly generous that evening if memory serves....

Anyway, rushing the field is awesome, but it should be done only for a great reason otherwise it loses its emphasis.
