That cleared it up. Though it does not explain how people can go back to college and play again when they are in their 30s. Or why my friendhad paper work to fill out every year. He was told he gets 4 years on the field for the rest of his life. Not a 5 year plan...

Exceptions are made for military, official church missions (Mormons), etc.

A man can go to the draft halfway through college, come back, ask the NCAA and they will probably be allowed to resume and exhaust the 4 years.l

He was right at 2003 and my friend who played basketball was in 1999. I did not know. It does not make sense to me... But then again I did not make these new rules. Thanks

Would he have been at a NAIA School? Their rules allow 4 years of competition without the 5 year clock.

Jared played db at k state and got solid minutes. Gene play at east Houston baptist university and started at the point all four years. I do not think either is NAIA.

I thought HBU was NAIA till recently
