If you ever think of taking this kind of work on as a permanent gig, you'd make an absolute killing here in the Northeast.

That'd be nice... You can't make a cent around North Texas unless you're selling overpriced neon colored Fixies, and the bike shops have monopolized that market. Edited by Green P1

If we play Rice in Houston next year, and you come down, you may want to check out West End Cycles. They have a bunch of vintage bikes. They are also one of the best mountain biked shops in the area in my opinion. http://www.westendbikes.com/WEB_aboutus.htm

And they are just around the corner from the beer can house. http://www.google.co...iw=1280&bih=545

State Fair...corny dogs and beer....and a pretty darn good Celtic Band.....that's after refereeing three soccer games...if these old guy legs can hold out. But, of course, that's what the beer and band listening is all about! Relaxing time!

All, of course, will depend on what my bride has in store for me....I'm going to get her "beered up" a bit this evening so I can get her to say OK in a weak moment to my State Fair adventure. Wish me luck!

That bike almost makes me want to ride a bike. Almost.

But then it would seem weird when I tried to honk and curse and run over the slow-ass bike people in my way. Weird.... and difficult.... on a bike.

The bike features a functioning electric horn... I'm just saying.

Watching tu get demolished. Watch a little more football, then patrol Saturday night for a co-worker that "wants to spend time with his wife" for whatever reason. LOL

Sunday, depends on if I'm working my other job. But I will be watching Dunbar play the Ravens.

that may just be the death of you.

That is top quality coffin humor right there.

She's constructed out of nothing but the old countertops we just replaced in the kitchen, half an 8 foot stud, and a rusted out wagon I've had since I was 5. Now to find someone to finish painting it.

If your're around Denton today you should come on out to the Day of the Dead festival and support the Paschall Bar car in the Coffin Races. Just sayin.

Finished pics to follow.

We were screwed by some rule changes on race day. The rules stated 6 inch or smaller wheels and 3 timed heats to determine the fastest coffin. On race day multiple teams showed up with non regulation wheels, two of which placed 1st and 2nd, and participated in a single elimination round robin style race bracket... Problem was... no one was made aware that it had been switched from 3 timed runs to single elimination. We went half speed on our first run to get a feel for the car/steering/hill and it was 1 and done. I was livid for about an hour afterwards... then the 24oz Miller Lites started to kick in. After 3 hours of smoking others in free runs and letting kids take pictures in it, all was good. Ended up winning the fan favorite design award.

It will be parked in the driveway with the headlight on if any of you are trick or treating in Denia and want your picture taken.
