We have a group heading down for the ASU game next month and was looking for recommendations on where to stay and what to do while we are in town. Any suggestions on places in Denton (or any other nearby town) are appreciated.

Thanks and good luck this weekend!

Comfort Suites in Denton is the closest hotel to the stadium, i think! I don't know how the accommodations rank, but being in walking distance to Apogee is a plus. If you are looking for a nicer place to stay that is unique to Denton I would try the wildwood inn, and you can always easily park at fouts field and walk over. As far as what to do, Denton is a pretty fun town. I've lived here for 5 years and have loved it- i'm not sure what you're wanting to do while you are in town, but if you give me an idea of what you are looking for I can point you in the right direction.

Good areas for entertainment are:

College Crowd: Fry Street on the Northeast side of campus or Rockin' Rodeo on the South side of campus.

College/Younger Crowd: Industrial just east of the downtown square, might want to include the square in this area. Good places to eat and pretty good bars.

Newer Area: Off I35E and State School Road on the south edge of town heading towards Dallas.

Hotels:

Normal chains: Holiday Inn Express, Hampton Inn, Courtyard by Marriot, etc... Try www.bookings.com for listings. The Wildwood Inn can be found at www.denton-wildwoodinn.com

The square is pretty great now, and lots of good food there. If you want to go just south of the square for Tex-Mex, El Guapo's is awesome. Just north of the square you have The Greenhouse and Giuseppe's. I'm obsessed with food, so that's always the first thing that comes to mind.

Noticed at the last game...some of the hotels were shuttling hotel guest to the sadium...you might check that out.
