I was driving around today while listening to the Jason Garrett press conference when I happened upon reason No. 784 why UNT fans/media/living, breathing humanoids really like Dan McCarney.

He doesn’t talk about “Football Process.”

He’s a great speaker.

Love this quote from him I’m using in tomorrow’s paper.

“Every time we line up at North Texas there is some ridiculously negative streak that we can stop and start a new positive one. That is one of the reasons I took this job, because when you do those things it’s a lot of fun.”

UNT has a ton of them, including not having won back-to-back games since the end of the Glory Days in 2004. I just can’t emphasize enough what a world of good it would do UNT if it could pull off the upset at Houston this

weekend. Here are a couple of things to think about:
