You're welcome, and I agree. Great read.

Jeff Eisenberg did another article for his Sun Belt Preview on Middle Tennessee which has his predictions for leage standings (spoiler alert: UNT #1 in West division and Tony Mitchell for Sun Belt player of the year)

He also got the #1 must-see game correct, in my opinion. North Texas vs. Creighton is HUGE!

I think it might be possible that our roster, with CJ and J Will back plus the additions of Coleman, Hardwick, and TJ Taylor (as long as he's eligible), might be the best in the conference even if we didn't have Tony Mitchell. TM will take us that much farther but I think we have surrounded him with the best roster this conference has to offer.

Basketball Season. Must. Come. Faster.

I love how these articles downplay his play last season as bordering on mediocre. If that was mediocre, what is good going to look like?

I think most fail to realize he started playing in December. While they all write about it they don't look at the big picture.

Good move connecting TM with Joe Greene. Hopefully Tony stays connected with UNT like Mr. Greene has throughout the years.

Here's hoping he stays until he has a degree! (wishful thinking, but we can dream can't we?)

Hopefully he goes to the NBA and becomes a superstar, then comes back to UNT to finish up his degree a-la Shaq and a host of other superstar athletes.

While it would be great to see him stay for 4 years, it might not be the best thing in the long run. If he leaves he can get started on his NBA career at 21 rather than 23 (if he stayed all four years). He can show to future recruits that you can go to UNT, have a successful college career, and still be drafted in the lottery picks.

Oh I doubt he stays after this season. The second contract is what his level of guys are trying to get to and staying in school after this season will make that second contract farther away. I said something similar last year that Tony will show the top players that as far as the NBA goes you can get there from here.

Exactly. The good thing is it looks like Benford is building up this roster very well for life after TM.
