Class act. We won a conference game on the road. We have work to do, but this was a necessary win.

I have been to one of Dan McCarney's road games when he was coaching at Iowa State and sat adjacent to the Iowa State section. After the game the Cyclones team, led by Coach McCarney, assembled in front of their fans, held out their helmets in front of them and sang their alma mater.

I remembered the stark contrast to Dickey's teams that had never shown gratitude to the fans that traveled to support them and and how they simply bolted to the locker room after each game.

.....and THAT is the difference in a coach that "gets it" and one that doesn't. PLUS......real culture change starts with some of the most basic stuff like this.
