Say what you will about this team, but they are well coached. Dan McCarney & Co. know what they are doing but its up the players to execute. I was not at the game on Saturday but these are things that I do know:

1) We out gained Troy

2) We won the time of possession battle

3) We did not turn the ball over and won that battle

4) We did not finish drives and missed three field goals

5) We did not execute on fourth down (2-14)

We can complain all day about play calling, but the players need to execute on key plays. Canales knows his players strengths and also understands their limitations. Fact of the matter is, this offense will go as far as Derek Thompson takes them. I have faith that he can play at high level as evidenced by his performance at KSU. He just needs to find consistency.

This team is well coached and can win any game left on the schedule if they can execute on key downs, including special teams. Keep the faith people. We are on the right track.
