Bad loss, Terrible offensive effort against a bad defensive football t

The most discouraging thing about the loss to Troy is that their defense was terrible coming into this game, giving up almost 5 yards per rush and over 9 yards per pass play. Our offense SHOULD have been able to really take it to this team.

The timeout followed by a delay of game penalty was the future ghost of Todd Dodge coming back to the sidelines. Execution was terrible. DT picked the worst game possible to not show up. The receivers continue to be below ordinary, and the O-line didn't dominate Troy's front seven like they should have. Yes, I know it was a front 9 for much of the night, but that doesn't have anything to do with the opponents DT getting TFL in your backfield on running plays.

Anytime your defense holds a Sun Belt oppenent to 14 points, you should win that damn game. This was a huge opportunity for this program that was missed. But, that seems to be the trend norm absolute for this football program since the Dickey years.
