How about moving the Fouts video screen (just screen not entire board) into The Pit??

Roof of the super pit is not designed to hold any significant weight. To add a big heavy screen and possibly a new sound system would require a multi-million dollar renovation.

I have heard this a number of times, and am not disputing what you have heard, Cerebus, but I find this hard to believe considering their was a four-sided scoreboard above center court when the SP opened. Currently technology would lead me to believe that something today should be much lighter than the original scoreboard.

Super Pit board stuff will be done before next season. Yes, the roof does have to be modified for whatever reason. Source: Contractor who is doing work on the practice facility as well as the Super Pit.

I guessing that since the SP was built, about a billion lawsuits have taken place over construction issues. I'm wondering if the 'renovations' are some sort of CYA projects if they do add a lighter, more modern score board.
