Student athletes that will become good fathers - and not smoke weed.

They are not mutually exclusive.

I always thought about Todge the way I thought of Bush.

Did not like him professionally but liked him as a guy.

One summer when I was a kid, the muffler fell of my brother's car while he was driving. He told me to run back and get it out of the road. I learned a harsh lesson when I picked it up with my bare hands.

The whole Todd Dodge fiasco is sorta like that. It's just something that's kinda hard to forget.

Todd Dodge = Mike Leach starter kit. So glad McCarney is here instead of Dodge, or Leach.

Not to derail a thread, but I just might. I am sooo glad we didn't hire Leach. I know many on here wanted it but I truly think he would have been the wrong guy to help change the culture at NT.

I live in walking distance to the Lewisville High School stadium. Having never been to a high school football game in my life, I've always been curious. If Dodgeball is winning high school football, no thank you sir. I'll retire to watching a bunch of sixth graders at recess with the call of everybody go long.

I live in walking distance to the Lewisville High School stadium. Having never been to a high school football game in my life, I've always been curious. If Dodgeball is winning high school football, no thank you sir. I'll retire to watching a bunch of sixth graders at recess with the call of everybody go long.

My old stomping grounds! Its different today then back in the 80s and 90s when the Farmers would fill that place to the brim on Friday nights and steamroll opponents with Wishbone football.

      This is what I call a “growth game.” This is the kind of game Hodge can use the film from to show the team the razor thin margin between winning and losing against the best teams in our league. If we are who we hope we are, our team walks away from this knowing we CAN beat anyone come conference tourney time, we just have to execute.

      Great game, Memphis is a good team and this one came down to the end. However I am still baffled by UNT's inability to inbound the ball, this is a trend that has been going on for a few seasons now. There were several times today that they would inbound the ball directly into a corner trap, many of those instances resulted into a turn over.

      Mean Green Fall At No. 21 Memphis, 68-64

      The Mean Green (10-4, 1-1) got a career performance from senior big man Moulaye Sissoko who poured in a career-high 17 points on eight shots and grabbed a game-high eight rebounds in the four-point defeat. North Texas’ Brenen Lorient scored a team-high 18 points and was one of four different Mean Green players to score in double figures. Senior Jasper Floyd had 11 points to go along with a season-high six assists. UNT outrebounded the nationally ranked Tigers (12-3, 2-0) 30-21and forced them into 15 turnovers and just seven assists. “If you have told me we would force them into 15 turnovers and just seven assists and outrebound them by nine I would have really liked our chances,” said head coach Ross Hodge. “But it was that stretch in the second half where we didn’t handle their press well and we ended with 16 turnovers. We’ll regroup together and get better from this together.” The Mean Green have a quick turnaround as they host Rice on Wednesday at Super Pit at 8 p.m. CT. UNT is 8-0 at home this season. The game will be broadcast on the Mean Green Sports Network, presented by Learfield and ESPNU.
