LSU mostly ran the ball and really didn't seem to try to open their play book. TSU. Enough said on TSU. Kstates qb was mostly terrible as an accurate qb. Do we really know how good our secondary is yet?

I'm very afraid that they could be - hmm not so good after the troy game.

You've got to admit, Calvin Klein was off against us. If he hits just a couple more of those WIDE open receivers, no one would talking about how close we played K-State.

And if the facemask is called and the TD pass isn't overturned...

Ain't no if or buts in football. It is what it is.

We CANNOT allow Robinson to stand in the pocket like we did Klien. We have to get pressure from the 4 down linemen. I think we will. I think we have at least 2 picks.

BUT. No, we don't really know what we have as a team yet, other than we can damn sure run the football.

Saturday will be very telling.

Klein's second in line (possibly 1st now) as far as Heisman QB candidates are concerned, so I don't guess he can be too bad with his arm. As far as our secondary is concerned, I think our safeties are coming along well despite a few mistakes, but I feel like the jury is still out on our corners. They have done well in the turnover department.

I think you missed my point.

My point was, we were allowing WRs to run wild in our defensive backfield way too often. Further, my point was that we don't want to get too sure of ourselves because we kept it close with K-State. And further, my point was that if we allow WRs to run wild in our defensive backfield again, it's not too likely to work out in our favor again.

No, I got it. I just don't think QBs missing receivers happens in a vaccum. Maybe the receiver was open because he cut the route short because of the secondary alignment and the QB didn't make the same adjustment as the receivers.

Maybe (admittedly not so much against K St.) the ball wasn't there because of pressure. I think pressure WILL be a bigger factor on Saturday.

Their are a lot more variables than just isolated secondary play. Saturday will tell us much.

I trust that Mac and his staff have considered the same thing and are working it this week.

Are you implying that the coaching staff has been watching game film and has a good idea of what their next opponent intends to do, and will likely plan accordingly? Because that sounds just crazy enough to work.
