Texas was very impressive -- at least offensively -- against Ole Miss. Texas A&M clobbered SMU. Texas Tech hammered another lowly opponent. Baylor played with its food before hitting the gas against Sam Houston State. TCU made its Big XII debut with a sloppy win over the worst team in the conference. North Texas lost, but impressed with their effort against Kansas State.

So, what does it all mean for our Power Poll, ranking the 12 FBS teams in Texas? Let's take a look.

#6 North Texas - Another respectable road loss for the Mean Green. This team WILL be bowl eligible by season's end.

The people at DCTF know a whole lot more about the landscape of college football than the DRC....these guys don't have as much as a negative agenda and I know this bc when we are bad they say it. Showing respect when respect when it is due bc they are professionals.
