This kid made a huge tackle on special teams when TSU had their first KO return. He's #34, a soph, and he transferred in from from NE Oklahoma State where Kenny Evans coaches. I looked at his bio and he was the starting QB for Euless Trinity when they won the state 5A title a couple of years ago:

He knocked my team out of the playoffs third round my junior year, his senior year. I was surprised to see him transfer here but he's a pretty good football player. Always good to get walk-ons who can contribute on special teams.

I met him at the finish line in Grapevine this past summer. I was buying a UNT shirt and he was like oh you are a UNT fan. I told him yeah, I am a season ticket holder and alumni. He told me he was on the team thanks for the support and shook my hand. He was a real nice guy.

He's listed as a wr. Since he was once a QB, possible end- around pass in the future? But I guess the same speculation could be made about Teegarden.

Anyway, it's always great to see a starter from a great HS program joining the Mean Green. When Pegram gets approved to play, they could have a potential problem down the road with both wearing #34.
