Dear Mean Green Barbershop Overlords,

Would it be possible to make the podcasts available for download on the superior mobile platform of Windows Phone? I have no idea how to gain entry into the Marketplace with your podcast, but I (and maybe 1 or 2 others) would love to be able to download the files mobily onto cellular devices like those iPeople.

The file is available as an mp3. On most pcs and phones try licking on the "direct link" and it should start playing in whatever you use as the default player. You can also Right click and save it to your pc and import to your device....or you could buy a Mac......kidding. I'll look into what could make it easier. If you have the issue, I'm sure there are plenty others.

For those out there that do use windows or android, how do you listen? Anyone?

I normally listen at work on PC, but have non-computer work to do and wanted to use my phone. This one looks to be posted as Flash and doesn't appear on my phone. The previous ones I can click on the direct link and listen no problem.

That was our mistake. It has been fixed. The direct link is now up..Should work..

That direct link to play on your phone will be good to have working in the near future....especially after games...we have a few things in the works.

Lol... We were hoping nobody remembered when we played that..... Actually, we couldn't get the fight song down from the cloud and its all that would play!!!......man I hope it wasn't an omen..

      I would also like to see Vice and Mason get more minutes. They looked good in the limited action I saw them. Senior privilege minutes for Sissoko and Stone are at the expense of better players.

      The Band

      I know this isn't the most important topic, but I was curious as to what others thought. I live across the country so I can't attend games unfortunately, but from watching it on TV is it just me or has the band declined in quality in the last few years? When the camera shows them they look undisciplined/inattentive, some are just wandering around chatting. I see other bands together and ready to play as soon as a play is over. The size seems to have ballooned and now sprawls across 2 sections of the stands, and despite that they sound worse. The director also doesn't seem to know that the purpose of the band is to hype up the team/crowd, and put pressure on the opposing team on 3rd downs. Play something intimidating on 3rd down! When they do play it seems like they just have a bank of songs they go through in order without considering the situation on the field. The selection of music is bad, and it doesn't seem like they have any variety of songs to connect with the crowd, many bands will play classic and modern hits to get the crowd into things. Like I said I don't know if this is true or not since I can only judge on what I see on broadcasts, what's the in-game experience like?

      What is this program missing?

      I think if you did the G5 national championship thing....and the players only got the schollie and a stipend.......I think it would draw fans like crazy. I think there are loads of folks who want amateur athletics to stay amateur. With what we draw and get in donations.....there is no way we should be paying a football coach over $1m. No way. So yeah amateur athletics, tighten the budget. These coaching staffs are huge now. Do folks not know that we now have a bigger recruiting staff.....than Hayden Fry had for an entire staff. He had six assistants. And it was better, more imaginative football. But this will likely never happen. As all these schools think they're just a break away from the "big time."

      How 'Bout Some Blame For The BOR?

      This. Unless/until the BOR and Administration decide to "...make winning at revenue sports a priority", we will only have the occasional good season more or less by accident.

      WBB at Houston (11/24/24)

      We all know you hate baseball. If you make a dollar selling a ticket, it's revenue, and a revenue sport. Profit is different. Few college sports make a profit for an Athletic Department at the G5 level. Baseball (as opposed to golf, swimming, track, etc) would lure fans to campus in the spring, spur donations, as well as tickets and merchandise. It's not always about making money (profit)...it's keeping relationships with fans and alums year-round. Non-revenue sports aren't doing it.
