Has the Constitution been suspended in Wisconsin?

Recommended Posts

The protestors have a right to peacefully assemble. What the DailyKOS is not reporting (which comes as no surprise to me) is that these protestors have been harassing capitol staffers for over a year. That's not peacefully assembling, that's being a nuisance. The code they are violating is clearly there to prevent intentional interference of state workers conducting their daily activities.

If they don't like the law, they should have it changed. If they think it is unconstitutional, they have recourse in the courts. But don't be shocked if you get arrested when you go out of your way to violate the law.

Indeed...but, again, these folks don't believe all laws pertain to them...they get to pick and choose because they "know their rights".

Yes, it has been completely suspended. These people don't get due process. They are simply thrown in the brig, the lock filled with molten lead and the key vaporized into thin air. They never see their families again. They simply... POOF. Disappear.

...you have a right to free speech. You don't have the right to be a disruptive jackass. If you don't understand the difference, then its no wonder you assume that the constitution has been suspended.

How were the older ladies holding the t-shirts being disruptive? How was the young man with the sign thanking blood donors being a jackass? How was State Rep. Chris Taylor out of line for questioning the capital police on why her constituents were being arrested for holding up a quotation of our Constitutional right to free speech?

I wonder if you understand the first amendment of the constituation?

Too bad it wasn't a tea party rally.

That would have been cool, right?

"Under the newly Scott Walker (Gov, R-FitzWalkerStan) appointed Capitol Police Chief Erwin our State Capitol has become proof positive that our government has been taken over by a junta that is all too happy to use police as a goon squad."

Good thing you are hanging out on moderate web sites, Bat. :lolu:
