5. I think I'd love to know what the heck happened to Brian Waters. The man goes from a Pro Bowl guard for a Super Bowl team, New England -- still playing well -- to vanishing into thin air the next. Not a word from him. Just a trail of rumors. He wanted more money (his base salary is $1.4 million) to play one year. He wanted to play close to his Texas home, with the Texans, but the Patriots wouldn't accommodate him. And why would they, if that's so? Why strengthen a conference foe?

This seems like it would have been win-win-win for the Cowboys if they could have signed him to a one year deal. He gets to come home, play with a contender, and the Boys would get a solid interior lineman to buy time until the draft. If the Patriots were unwilling to send him to Houston, why not Dallas?

I got to meet and say hello to Brian last year here on the UNT Campus at the last Alumni Awards Dinner. The Alumni Association presented Brian with an Alumni Achievement Award. It was great seeing him and having him be part of our Alumni Awards dinner and presentation. Great guy!

Yep...would love to have seen him in a Cowboy uniform this season...he would have made a super addition to the Cowboy team and organization.
