Haters got to hate. And that sad coming from me.

No one thought the Ocean was going to outplay the Green Brigade, but they did out perform them. More energy, more hype, more swagger, and the real secret weapon...the Motion of the Ocean.

I thought they sucked...I was left wondering why they are so great

.

My thoughts exactly. The only time their lines were even were every 10 yards. Terrible song selection and just bad music.

I was very disappointed. "Really?!?!?!" is the thouhgt that came to mind.

Give TSU some credit, they were not musically great but they are a small school with I would imagine a small band budget. Yes, they were out shown by a band over twice the size and one of the best in the land, but they put on a good show. I applaud them for bringing the band, they definitely added to the event.

I could not get enough Motion of the Ocean, and more Motion of the Ocean, that is the Motion of the Ocean. Was there a band?

That's how I felt as well. The Ocean was a nice change of pace and very entertaining.

I am already looking forward to The MOB coming to North Texas every other year.

Yeah, I really enjoyed Ocean of Soul. Now of course, their music playing abilities were no where near the level of the GB...But lets be honest, they were a lot more entertaining. I think HBCU bands are made for football games and really know how to pump up the crowd. Don't get me wrong, I think the GB are amazing, and in terms of music and technical ability, better than any other marching band in the nation.

I just have to think though that the Green Brigade would benefit from that big deep marching bass drum that the Ocean of Soul (and a LOT of other college bands) use. It would round things out and that deep bass drum bottom end really reverberates through Apogee. Makes a small band sound a whole lot bigger.

Just the opinion of someone who was in a 5A school military marching band in high school.
