It may be that the grind of traveling with a MLB team is too much for him right now. I think we have one of the absolute best radio team in college football and having Dave call the TV broadcast it better than what most teams have.

On my DirecTV guide it shows the movie Jawbreaker Saturday night. Can anyone else with DirecTV confirm?

That must be what they are labeling the game after the QB hit last saturday night.

From Facebook.

Interesting week, kind of a full-circle thing going on. 20 years ago I was a broadcasting student at UNT, stepping into a press box for the first time to do color with Rich Phillips on Lewisville Fighting Farmer Football on KNTU...dreaming of being the next Dave Barnett. This Friday I will do play-by-play for Lewisville at Ennis on TXA 21 with my broadcast partner of 7 years LaDarrin McLane (who was on those Lewisville teams I called) and then Saturday I will be doing color on TXA 21 as my alma mater takes on Texas Southern. Doing play-by-play? None other than Dave Barnett. Don't know what to make of all that except that I am blessed.
