Kind of ridiculous a tournament like the NIT would have to go after a DII school to fill out a bracket. You have this tournament every year a there over 300+ DI teams.

I remember reading something awhile back about the highest seed in the pod that doesn't make it to NYC hosting a consolation bracket? Is that true? We would be the #2 seed in the bracket if it turns out to be a D2 school. Of course, making it to NYC would be better.

I think the committee banked on Murray State being the 4th team and didn't bother having a back up plan. Piss poor planning IMO

I would just rather add a Independent to the mix. Someone like a NEB-Omaha , Houston Baptist, Chicago St , etc. Those teams would be able to move games around. I think we already have a non DI team @ home , don't want another one

As long as the 4th team is terrible, I'm satisfied, because that means we're the 2 seed.
