I know Coach Mac was disappointed in not staying closer to LSU...so was I. But a few observations. One td that LSU made, there was a hold where on of LSU offensive players grabbed the back of one of our defenders who was in perfect position to make the tackle and because of the hold, was unable too. Then some key dropped passes that killed a drive. A call here and a catch there and this is a 14 pt game or better. The line had LSU winning by 43. And there "super boy" qb was in till the last 2 min. If we learn from this game and put together a game like we played in 3rd qtr,, I am ready to say 8-4....maybe 9-3. OK...maybe I am over optimistic, but I saw alot of good stuff last night. Saturday night we have to ROCK APOGEE!!! and TSU!!!

3 has to get the ball more often...on the post pattern, for 80 yd td, he was running away from LSU defenders. I LOVE THE SMASH MOUTH OFFENSE!!!

I still stick to my 7-5 prediction. However, I can now see an 8-4 as something conceivable perhaps, which I didn't before. GMG!

Here's my rant on the key missed call you reference:

I know some will say that hey it's just one play and the game is over now but dammit Mac needs to send a complaint into the Sun Belt office...that was a clear mistake and needs to be admitted by the SEC and the official who did it.

I agree with you Truss there are a lot of things to consider that make me hopeful! I mean we were playing one of the top 3 teams in the entire country depending on which poll you use. I didn't like the WR drops and I felt like our d-line struggled for much of the game. I really think our secondary is MUCH improved and am thrilled to say our corners are a LOT better than what we have had in the past. If Boutwell can come back he will improve us so very much. I agree with some other posters we NEED to get Chancellor the ball MORE! That kid is special and I couldn't believe his speed against the LSU secondary on that sweet TD.
