Here are the stats: http://www.meangreensports.com/ViewContent.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=1800&CONTENT_ID=225977

My boy, J-Phil, kicked off the first game of his final season for the Mean Green in fine fashion. He missed half the season last year, so he might have a little more rust than otherwise. I probably didn't watch him as closely as I should have . . . I thought he looked out of position a couple of times, which is strange, because he usually has a nose for the ball. And then I looked at his stats . . . 4 solo tackles and 5 assists! Mighty impressive!

Delgado had a disappointing drop at the beginning of the game. Went up over the DB and plucked it, but lost it when he brought it in. To make up for this, I am personally guaranteeing 100 yards and a TD next week.

I haven't seen his full stats, but will add them when I see them, but Derek Thompson looked rushed and made a number of throws off of jis back foot early in the game. Once he settled down, he made some nice throws including two TD's to Chancellor. Both were right on the money. Could have been better, which I think he would be the first to admit, but he will have a great year.

well for Cyril Lemon there are naturally not a lot of stats,

... but there were no huge Thompson sacks like mettenberger got one, and after this game I am still convinced Lemon will be 1st team all sunbelt player

Nothing for Mr. Teegarden.

Dirty Byrd had 14 carries for 40 yards and didn't really have a chance to do much, but did get better as the game went on. Can't wait to see him and the rest of the RBs next week.

Pretty good night for Lairamie Lee individually although I don't know that 11 tackles by a safety is what I want to eventually see from the Mean Green as a team.

Lairamie was flagged once for pass interference but it was not an act of desperation as a result of the receiver getting past him.

Overall, an impressive first-start game for Lairamie and the beginning for what I think will be a great Mean Green career.

mr. abbe had a rough game. he got pushed around about every play and had no tackles. to his credit he's up against some monsters and was doubled many times.

he gave it his all the entire game, i never saw any quit in him.

Umm, your adopted players name is Derek.

Derrick.

Neither of them did anything in the game either.

I was away for a couple of days and recorded the game. First, I had time to check the stats and was stunned that my adopted player, Tevinn Cantly, had an O'fer game. Today I learned that he was injured early, which made me sad. I really wanted him to be able to play unhampered by injuries this year. Then I got around to watching the game and saw that Tevinn was getting good penetration. On one play in particular he was robbed of a TFL when the Tiger runner turned away from him right into another tackler. I am proud to say that he was a factor while he was in there. I sincerely hope that he quickly recovers fully. We need you Tevinn, but take the time to heal properly.

On another note, I didn't see any quit in the Mean Green and I'm damned proud of your performance against a very powerful team. Special teams needs to rise to the test, and the D gave up a few big plays, but overall this game looked more competitive than the score indicated. Let's come home this week and kick some ass...it's better to give than receive! :goodjob:

Blake Dunham......he had a perfect snapping performance in his first ever college game to play in.....Last night at the radio show, Coach Mac mentioned to George how well his son played....Blake also had a rude welcome to big time college football moment when he received a crushing hit early in the first quarter in punt coverage...

Go to the play where Hilbert knocked out the QB and you will see Tevinn make a great move on the OG. If Hilbert had not gotten there so fast, I am pretty sure Cantly would have gottern a sack.
