how the hell did smu, get baylor and tamu in the same season? i'm really jealous of their schedule this year. i'm hoping that the years in c-usa will bring better ooc teams the our schedule and to denton.

while i'm on it, has anyone looked at the price that the tickets are going for for the smu vs. tamu game? everything i've looked at has them at $95 for upper level and end zone seats!!! i guess there will be about 25k tamu fans paying way too much for their seats that day.

Going prices for A&M home game tickets, if you can find them, are north of $200. Away games are the only way most Ags can afford to see them in person.

In our 1-AA days, when we played schools like Nebraska or OU, many Nebraska and OU fans would join the Mean Green club so that they could buy tickets to the North Texas/Nebraska and/or OU game. It was the only way that they could get a ticket to at least one home game. Of course they may have continued to do the same thing even after we moved up to D-1. After all, when I watched the UNT/MTSU homecoming game back in 2001 I bought a walk-up ticket on the 40 yard line for about $8.00.

SMU has about 100 years of connections with Baylor and A&M--both of those schools fanbase remember conference games with SMU and view them as a worthy OOC opponent these days. SWC membership had its privileges--this is just one more example of it still helping today.
