BATON ROUGE - There is no change in the status of Saturday's football game versus North Texas at this time. LSU officials are monitoring Hurricane Isaac and will assess the impact of the storm after it has passed through Baton Rouge.

Two other LSU athletic events have been changed. LSU's soccer match on Friday against Stephen F. Austin has been postponed until Tuesday. LSU's soccer match against Houston is still scheduled for Sunday at 1 p.m.

The Tiger Classic Volleyball Tournament, which was scheduled for the Pete Maravich Assembly Center on Friday and Saturday, was moved to Houston because of travel complications involving opponents.

LSU announced that the University has extended its closure through Thursday, Aug. 30.

LSU will keep fans posted of any changes concerning athletics events through its website at LSUsports.net, on its mobile apps, and through social media outlets.

They are very smart. Not

They really under estimated this Hurricane, just like Katrina.

Not a chance in hell they can host Saturday.

Apogee or Nothing at this point

Hurricane Isaac is moving at a snail's pace. LSU has already extended the closure of the campus to Thursday.

That field turf will be hideous and unplayable after 2 games.

Toss out Rilient

We can bring in temporary stands at Apogee at the wing zone plaza.

Bringing capacity to around 35,000.

Sell standing room only passes

Bring in a jumbo-tron by The Hill for over-flow.

Apogee is ready, it's LSU move.

No room for rescheduling after this week.

I don't see how this happens. The wind could knock out power, tear up the stadium, and rainfall could be 8-12 inches in Baton Rouge. Don't they have grass, too? If it does get played the rain could serve as an equalizer, and we'll be better prepared. I don't smell upset but this storm could help us out.
