COLLEGE STATION, Texas -- With a gold medal around his neck and a smile on his face, 6-foot-6 Plano (Texas) High School quarterback Richard Lagow stood taller -- literally and figuratively -- than the rest in the Texas Division I state 7-on-7 championships at Texas A&M.

Lagow, a Connecticut commitment, led the Wildcats to the state title with a 45-28 win over Manvel, Texas -- a squad loaded with elite college prospects.

Young man has a long way to travel up North way and wouldn't staying closer to home so his family and friends be a good thing for him to consider? Long time till signing day.
