L.A.Times: "Chick-fil-A 'kiss' day marred by 'Tastes like hate' graffiti"

http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/lanow/2012/08/chick-fil-a-kiss-hate-graffiti-vandalized.html

Standard liberal response when things don't go their way. It is Interesting that the L.A. Times decided to report a response to the nation wide event they ignored the day before.

Rick, you're better than this. You don't read the LA Times and neither do I, but just for fun, I used the Google on the internet machine:

http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/lanow/2012/08/chick-fil-a-supporters-say-they-are-fighting-for-free-speech-.html

http://articles.latimes.com/2012/aug/01/business/la-fi-chick-fil-a-day-20120802

http://www.latimes.com/news/nation/nationnow/la-na-nn-chick-fil-a-sales-a-world-record-20120802,0,6863629.story

http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/lanow/2012/08/-chick-fil-a-kiss-in-friday.html

http://www.latimes.com/news/nation/nationnow/la-na-nn-chick-fil-a-kiss-in-20120802,0,3873417.story

There's more posts going up all day and they are actually covering both sides. And yes, the news, which is driven by traffic and page views, will include the extremes of the debate. There's no story in customer buys food, leaves -- hence all the aggregate stories posted above.

As Quoner pointed out to you, determining something as asinine as this whole Chik-fil-Gay cluster-eff didn't merit bumping the election, Syria, the Olympics, the economy, the nation-wide drought, suspect Wall Street trading, and Congress prioritizing their campaigns rather than legislation from their front pages, doesn't mean it hasn't been reported. Ad nauseum, in fact.

Can someone mock those of us that are ovo-lacto vegetarian agnostics? We're feeling left out.

You're fruity too. (;

I didn't write the article. Someone else did. If you disagree with the author send him an email. I don't see where he claims the story was nationally ignored, but rather that SOME huge news outlets chose to, and I find that hard to believe, and linked to it. I'm not saying the story should have been headlines, but it seems to me it should have at least been mentioned?

It was. A lot. That's why the guy had to preface his statement with non-front page news.

Ok, email him and let him have it. Set him straight!

I'd rather start a separate newspaper and just bitch about it in every column, but I appreciate the call back.

It's not that the Pres/CEO opposes gay marriage. Lots of people do. It's that he gave 5 million dollars to 2 organizations that promote hate speech concerning gay people. THAT is the real issue.

Sigh. I appreciate you trying to make a salient point, but you can't correct his spelling then spell "fries" wrong. We should all tap the brakes a bit anyway.... there are many shades of green on this, it's not really a black and white issue.

Typically I'd be upset about you stealing my line, but I'm gonna go zen here...no reason to fight, fight, fight.

So Chic-Fil-A donated money to the Westboro people?

I hope this can serve as an example. Regardless of how anyone feels about this subject, leave the employees alone. They're just doing their job. They don't need to hear how they work for the most bigoted organization in America, or, the most principled organization in America, or whatever...

Oh, and if you're going to do something like this, don't film it and put it out there for everyone to see... that's dumb.

A second question would be, if the real issue was t his comment about gay Marriage, and more about his donations, why didn't the boycott occurs when the donations were made, rather than when the interview was given in which he made his opinions known about gay marriage?

Wow... I guess you think my late uncle, who was a preacher, and built schools and water wells in Guatemala died for nothing?

No sarcasm here... How in the world did you get that idea from the picture I posted?
