There are about 30 P4 coordinators and 80 FBS head coaches making more than our HC. I say "about" because private schools don't release numbers so I'm being generous. I'm not saying we don't pay enough to get quality candidates but our salary pool requires additional risk because we're not going to get proven FBS candidates without paying more. That's why the big programs pay so much to pluck guys. It's a premium payed for proven winning. If you think we're going to get quality candidates by reducing the contracts to 3 years, you're wrong. The only way to make that up would be to double our HC pay to make up for the shorter deal. Three year deals with our pay will get us somebody nobody else wants. -

This is where I have been for a little bit. I went to a couple of the games where I thought they could make a difference in their national credibility, and we know how that went. Not sure why I was expecting anything different. -
