I’m just not that gutted this morning. Now if our defense reverts back to giving up 45 on Friday, I will be upset. And it could totally happen as they play O down south.
We are a rhythm offense. We could never catch a rhythm and the defense really played hard. They were wacked and kept giving us a random chance. I’d take a fraction of that resolve in San Antonio and if we get it we win. Morris and the team will see space and gaps and speedy receivers getting open in Green. It will be a telling game and the beasts who they played hard against are in the rearview.
San Antonio and East Carolina will be tough, but right now the focus is getting 6. Then get more, then win the bowl game. There are still juicy elevation goals ahead.

It is a bad defense that can't be judged like a regular decent defense. To say the defense played anything short of at least decent defense is just unfair to them. But they had an extra week to prepare. 🤷🏽♂️. This is just too much like Seth Littrell. An offensive coach who can win games against equal competition at over 0.500. And no shot to win against teams on par with us without stellar QB play or weather conditions favoring a dominant group of running backs. What was the point of paying Seth not to coach this year if you were just going to hire an Air Raid clone who overvalues defenses specifically designed ONLY to slow down the Air Raid?
Their job is to score points, not limit possessions.
News Flash: Army has long drives against EVERYBODY; so if your strategy is to play keep away from a team that is the absolute best at keep away, you are plain dumb.
The offense put up three, that’s 1…2…3 points. It is absolute lunacy to say an offense that failed to put up points on THREE separate trips inside the 15 yard line was hamstrung by a defense that surrendered a total of 14.
