Didn't hear about this on ABC,CBS, NBC, CNN, MSNBC or Fox. Can't blame anyone side for ignoring this, as everybody has ignored it since March 7.

Texas sends out voter registration cards.... if you don't get one... then check on the situation. Not that difficult.

This year was a bit strange because of the lawsuit that delayed the primary from March to May and also delayed mailing the cards.

I voted in the primary and have voted in our local runoff...did not have my voter registration card with me either time...absolutely no problem in getting to vote...showed my driver's license and confirmed my current address...no brainer.

I realize that a drivers license works ... if you are on the rolls .... but if you didn't get a card in the mail... don't assume you are registered.

It takes a simple call to the election office to find out or go online to the SOS site and check your status, not that difficult.

10 yrs ago Denton County was pretty efficient cleaning out the voter roles of those who have moved, died, etc... i assume they are even better now.

You are right though don't assume anything, but take 5 min to check.

in Texas without a voter registration card you can vote with an ID, a bill that shows you live in the area, and you sign a sworn statement that you have not voted in that election anywhere else

I know this for a fact as it happened to me.....I had recently moved, I had signed up to vote at the county fair, and I had not received a card and I just thought it was because the time period was so short.......the people at the polling place were very helpful and I did have to go get a power bill, but once I was back with that and showed it and my ID and signed the form I was able to vote and not long after that I got a voter card in the mail as well

not all that difficult at all

It's 1/8th as long as his usual posts...and yet I'm still so, so bored by it.
