Has anybody seen this young man play? His numbers were good but not overwhelming. Outside of his size, what is attractive about him other than being previously committed to a Big East? I mean no disrespect, but am curious about what makes him an attractive recruit.

Very good question. His stats are solid but not great like you said, but he did play in a very solid district that included the state 5A division 1 champion Allen Eagles, who Lagow and Plano lost to by one point 34-35 on the road.

To me, the most attractive aspect of recruiting him would be that if we brought him in, he would likely grayshirt since we are full on scholarships. I got into an argument with UNT90 since I said grayshirts can get 6 years, since their eligibility starts during their second semester of college.

Basically, if we grayshirted Lagow, he would have one season off away from the team (per grayshirt rules), a session of spring ball, a redshirt season , and one more session of spring ball before his redshirt freshman season.

As with any quarterback, whether it be a 5 star or 2 star, the ability to develop that quarterback makes all the difference. Lagow would be given ample time to develop and progress before ever stepping on the field for us.

THIS!!!!

His completion percentage wasn't great and it seems like he doesn't always make the best decisions with the ball (interceptions and not seeing an open receiver down field a few times), but he has an absolute cannon and is 6'6". Two things you can't teach.

From Rivals > It has not taken long for interest to surface. Already North Texas, Arizona State, Western Kentucky, Arkansas State, and West Virginia have all expressed an interest.

"Good recruiting class, but still not great. We keep grading these guys by “UConn Standards”. Comparatively, this draft class is less than average. SMU and Houston have better draft classes and we look at these schools as conference USA, Big East wanna be’s. Louisville and Rutgers have better draft classes and we are upset that they were recruited to go elswhere. Yes, this is our best class in a long time. I like that we kept a lot of the local talent, but this is only a step. We can’t settle for average classes. We need to win on the field and keep building the program"

Wonder if the people in Connecticut understand that a group of the best "local talent" in Connecticut would be considered an "average class" in Texas?

Wow. Not sure why he thinks things will be better at OSU.

My thoughts exactly.. If he thinks the QB log jam at QB UConn was bad , just wait till you get to OSU

I bet he moves again in another year or 2

Why doesn't somebody from NT contact this lad? He could very well play a big part here.

We can wait until he quits after two weeks of practice at OSU. No rush.
