The CBO (Congressional Budget Office) released new projections of a worsening U.S. fiscal outlook....the CBO reports that by the end of this year (2012) cumulative federal debt will be roughly 70% , that's SEVENTY PERCENT, of the gross national product.

That is up from 40% in 2008!

Projections are, that if something drastic does not happen to change it, that federal debt will be 200% of GDP in just 25 years!

Folks, if that doesn't scare you, nothing will. Hello Europe debt crisis...hello Greece, hello Spain, hello Italy....

Good grief......

ALL TOPICS MUST BE TITLED IN ALL CAPS!

LOUD NOISES!

Appreciate your adding such a thoughtful and in depth analysis to the discussion. Somehow, I don't hear the noise of which you speak...it's the Internet, right? No "real" sound on GMG.Com or have I missed a link to the GMG.Com sound system?

But, now that you mention it...a growing US debt burden is worthy of loud noises as way too many people either are not paying attention or have no clue as to the dire consequences should the US not get this under control very soon. However, I do see you have a firm grasp of what's important in the dicussion.

So when you don't have an opinion or solution, just throw out some random dribble?

Why not? I mean, I can tell you that we can sit here and debate all sorts of ways to handle spending and taxation, and that the real solution is systemic reform and that I don't see a major shift happening until government is actually forced into it by a huge economic drop, but that's no fun is it?

The same problem that goes on in a lot of American households is what has been happening to out government for the past two decades. We are living beyond our means. Until people understand this and create reform in their own homes, I doubt we will see reform in the government.

A few of you guys make it easy to see why some get ahead in life and others don't.

Because we make fun of one of 18 VPs of Finance for Cumstane and Sons Family Bank?

Or post on the internet all day...because...well, you're here, too.

Must have hit a nerve or you just defending your bf CBL? I have seen you at a football game before and well, never mind. Run along now and write your poem.

Well this isn't fun. I really want to follow the poem insult (I guess because poems are gay or because at the WKU game I was busy kissing the guy next to me while reading Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening), but I'm mostly just confused. Want to meet up at S4 and talk it out? Do we have tickets near each other? Would that put us in the same tax bracket?

Oh, and make sure your LinkedIn password is updated. I hear bad things are happening in that business world I hope to learn more about some day.

You are getting predictable, I thought your type was more creative.

Another thread stolen by the wits of this board. Thanks dork for giving a relative reply.

What's the proper response? There was no question posed, Kram reported a fact, Dork had a good response and Greenmachine did what he do while he got his chops ever so playfully busted. If you want to piggyback on that, there's plenty of room. Personally, I'd prefer you do it in poetry form, though.
