I really hope we start recruiting this guy. I don't know what his deal is eligibility wise since he graduated high school in 2010 but is listed as a freshman on the Cisco team website. Could potentially be a 3 years to play 3 guy. He played at a Guyer so maybe coming back home is what he needs, but we really need to get some quality depth at defensive tackle.

I agree that he is the quality that we need at DT. I doubt that he will have more than two years eligibility though because I believe that he will have to complete his associate's degree before he is eligible to transfer. Regardless, he would be worth it even if we only have him two years.

I think he may have three yrs., surely the hours he earned at Texas along with the Cisco hours will enable him to transfer this year. If, I am not mistaken he never played at UT.

Yeah he was at UT for around three semesters. He left the team after his third semester around December 2011, so I think he finished that semester of classes up as well. I don't know if he went to school at all last semester but he should have plenty of credits after this academic school year to be eligible next fall.

Am I missing something? Is he transferring to UNT or is it just speculation?

Question, no info.

Combination of speculation, dire need, and what would his eligibility situation be like if he came. But speculation to answer your question.
