This came up during the podcast last night as Benford mentioned it during the Ft. Worth Caravan. Does Hardwick have a teammate from Houston with offers from Texas Tech and Baylor? Any other idears?

Benford needs to work with the marketing dept. make UNT the 'trendiest' b-ball program in the state... we aren't that far away right now... but continuing to win championships and filling up the stadium would be nice...

we just need to replace the speakers in the Superpit now, so that we can play some more of that hip-hop music!

Didn't hear the podcast , but was he talking about Josh Gray ? Gray recently committed to Tech

Benford left the impression that it was a recruit for 2013 and said "we will get him." Hyperbole, perhaps, but ti would be nice to know who it could be. Someone else said Benford described the kid as 6'8". I musta missed that.

Benford did say the kid had offers from Baylor and Texas Tech.

I would think that if we were that involved in his recruiting process, we would be listed on the kid's rival page .

But, as we all know, Rivals ain't always right.

I think it's Johnathan Motley. He's 6'8 as they said in the podcast, from Houston, and has Baylor on schools of interest although no offer. He could have recently gotten offers from both Tech & Baylor. He's #10 in the state on ESPN as linked above. It would be great if it was him, there's not much film available but he looks good from what I've seen.

"Several observers like John Lucas and Dirk Minnefield agreed. Josh was also considered as the best overall guard at this event. The best prospect from the 2013 class was long and rangy, 6’7 SF/P Jonathan Motley from Houston, Northshore HS. This long-armed player is a skilled ball handler in the open court. He likes to score off the dribble along the baseline or in the lane with his pull-up jumper. Jonathan was the best S/F at this event too. He has “high major” written all over him."

Hmmm...I was thinking it may be Josh Gray --- Josh evidently committed to Miss St when PJ did...evidently they are best friends...however as NT03 accurately pointed out, reports indicate Gray signed with Texas Tech. Josh's profile on Scout indicates that he had offers from Tech and Baylor.

But then again - Gray is a point guard so with CJ and now Hardwick it wouldn't seem we need another point. There are also reports that Hardwick and Grey were a package deal to Miss St.
