Mid-Major Top 25

So i took a trip to the college insider, mid-maor top 25 website and, apparently, CUSA is not considered a mid-major conference. Granted, this applies to basketball only, but its still pretty interesting. I guess its just one of those things where i have to get use to what it will be like in CUSA.......... anyways.... just sayin.....

yeah i know. thats what i saw too. I was just surprised that CUSA is not considered a MMC in basketball... and i guess Memphis is the biggest reason for that

The mid major poll is meaningless. Just helps smaller schools feel better about themselves. I'm glad CUSA isn't included.

No, because CUSA asked not to be included. Gonzaga and Butler have both been ranked in the "real" and Md Major poll at the same time though.

Yes....North Texas is the new Memphis! A nice, long run in the tournament will solidify that distinction.

This upcoming season, UNT will still be playing in the SunBelt. I expect to see us ranked very high on this mid-major poll.

Once we make the move to CUSA, we wont need to be on this poll as we will be on the AP top 25.

Technically Memphis was more of the new UTEP, considering the Miners have an NCAA title while Memphis has three Final Four appearances (two of which were later vacated).
