UNT swaps players (Odoh, Robinson out, Coleman, Hardwick in)

According to coach Benford at the coaches caravan last night, the reason we did not get Odoh was because of his grades.

I hope that is true.

That is a major twist.. and makes not releasing him make more sense. Allows UNT to still go after him next year and use the card that they tried to hold out as long as possible and didn't release him when they could have with the coaching change.

If I remember correctly though, he said Odoh was released to pursue other options.

that doesn't make a lot of sense unless it is to go to another JC or something.. not sure. Will be real interested to see what happens to the kid then.

I thought this situation with Odoh, was strange, after Benford signed. Of course, we had know way, of knowing, what was going on behind closed doors. Now the truth is coming out! To me it just proves, that in college recruiting, you can't rest on your laurels. These kids or i should say young men, situations can change. We all know, once the ball goes up, the teams we play, are not in the business of showing compassion, as well as they shouldn't be. Recruit, recruit, recruit. IMO.

I thought Odoh was a sophmore, so picking another JUCO or staying at Hill JC is not an option, unless I am mistaken.
