2012 Season

Does anybody know what our schedule might look like?

It might be fun to piece it together and then get some predictions going...

without even knowing the schedule and assuming everybody passes their classes.... I say we only lose 7 times next season

Any Takers?

If our schedule is consistent with last year, I would say 7 losses or under is not unreasonable. If we schedule a more difficult non conference schedule we may have a few more losses, but also be prepared come tournament time.

We definitely need another big name team at the Super Pit. A Big 12 or SEC team would be beneficial and look great, especially with Ws next to the opponents names.

20 conference games... 10 home and 10 away.

UTA at the Pit

At Mississippi State

At Kansas State for at least 2 NIT Season Tip-Off games

Should be 5 or 6 others at most (not including additional NIT Season Tip-Off games... those count as part of the MTE and aren't additional games against our limit).

There seemed to be 2 slots to fill, in terms of calendar, back before the coaching staff changed. We usually buy 2 or 3 home games against Southland or SWAC type teams to fill out the home slate, but no contracts that I've heard about.

I completely agree. But the fastest way to get noticed nationally is to win on the road... Beating Missippi State at there place looks a lot better then here at the Pit... even though that would be a crazy fun game if it was here in Denton....

But I dont mind playing some big name schools on the road, especially this year, I think it willl benefit us in the long-run

So we are playing @ Miss State two years in a row? Are they ever coming here to play at the Pit?

so are we one of those teams that the bigger programs avoid? at least playing us in Denton? I bet we have trouble scheduling home and homes with bigger schools...

Ding ding ding. Tell him what he's won Bob

"You've won five days and four nights in luxurious Reality! You'll be whisked way to a stunning resort where people realize Texas, Duke and Syracuse not coming to the Super Pit isn't merely because we haven't asked. Top program's don't just hand us home games..and it's that way for virtually ALL mid-majors! You, unlike some, won't have to bang your head against a wall aimlessly because you realize that if WE can recognize how good our team could be...so can other coaches. You'll return from this dream vacation refreshed with a modicum of perspective, and a happy disposition realizing where we've been and where we're headed."

You're right wins on the road is what matters because virtually any team can pull off an upset at home in even a decent environment. All of this aside I just want to rush the court again like we did against Tech only I want it to be a ranked team.
