Just speculation but he was close to Tony Benford and Rob Evans at Texas Tech. I think he has stated he wants to stay in Lubbock until his kids graduate but you never know. I understand he's a real good coach and recruiter.

I question whether his wife would want to leave Lubbock; she seems to really be into her business and community, according to this article.

One thing I think should not be overlooked in such career moves is the impact that family, especially wives, have on the decision making process. I do think that RV is sensitive to this, and seems to have gone out of his way to acknowledge families of the recent head basketball coaching hires.
