Would other schools ever consider this?

Our athletic department, school and fans are too classy to ever think about this. But let’s just assume for a minute what other local schools maybe thinking with the changing conference landscape. Let's use SMU for example. Would June Jones consider making contact (indirect) with local underclassmen at New Mexico State? "You guys signed on to play competitive ball in the WAC which may not exist in the near future. Come on back to the metroplex/Texas. I can't guarantee a starting position but we always have room for quality depth. We currently play a CUSA schedule and soon Big East".

I don't know if they would entertain something like this. Just saying!

Football:

1 Travaughn Colwell QB 6/3 185 So. Manvel, Texas (Manvel HS)

4 Austin Franklin WR 6/2 180 So. Dallas, Texas (Kimball HS)

11 King Davis III QB 6/1 180 Fr. Mesquite, Texas (North Mesquite HS)

20 Samuel Oyenuga DB 5/11 180 RFr. Rowlett, Texas (Rowlett HS)

55 Valerian Ume-Ezeoke OL 6/2 275 So. Garland, Texas (Garland Lakeview Centennial HS)

69 Alexander Trujillo OL 6/2 280 RFr. Spring, Texas (Centennial HS)

70 Andy Cunningham OL 6/4 300 RFr. Frisco, Texas (Frisco HS)

72 Peter Foreman OL 6/4 310 Fr. Houston, Texas (St. Thomas HS)

73 Faison McKinnis OL 6/7 300 RFr. Frisco, Texas (Centennial HS)

Basketball:

K.C. Ross Miller God's Academy

Sat out 2011-2012; Will have 3 years remaining beginning this fall.

That would def. be an NCAA violation. Once you sign a LOI there is to be no more contact with a student athlete. If there is then its concidered tampering with a student athlete. Also when a player is transfering the 1st contact is suppose to be by the player but I think this is a lil more relaxed than anything else.

yea "classy" involves making up a stupid scenario that involves NCAA violations and then inserting the team that your fan base is obsessed with as the instigators while asserting your "class" to be above that :thumbsu:

With the record number of transfers coming this year, Cooleys post was clearly a hypothetical presentation, regardless of if NCAA rules.

1. Its a NCAA violation

2. NMSU & Idaho suck

also classy

Let's all find a message board that has no hypothetical threads, filters out any speculation and does not think their school is above anyone else.

how about one that does not obsess over SMU and that does not try to put their own thoughts of cheating onto another program when it was a UNT fan that came up with the idea to cheat...in a classy way of course :thumbsu:

I doubt the coaches or athletic administration at UNT would lower themselves to something like this, but it looks like some UNT fans would if they thought they could get away with it.....of course they could justify it by saying that SMU is probably doing the same!

Cooley, Great job in drawing out the atypical SMU fan who registers with the new marketing slogan of OUR university.

Hey, checkfacts, you douche bag, why don't you disappear.

Again.

Why don't you ask your boss if this behavior is still ongoing, and please get back to us ASAP! We may have to quickly look at rescheduling our future games if you guys are being yourselves and repeating history once again. Your help would be much appreciated. Seriously!

It's not different than most boards I've seen: there tends to be one or two schools in particular that draw the ire and obsession of some fans.

You're just having fun riling people up, and are now on my setting's ignore list.
