I normally have little good to say about schools changing conferences. The whole realignment thing has been out of control, stupid, and done for all the wrong reasons.

But out of all the schools changing it is North Texas that I have no bad feelings about. Your choice was done for the right reasons. To bring schools of regional interest into your stadium to increase the enjoyment of your fan base. You've been on an island too long and it will be good to see you part of Texas again.

We all know CUSA chose you for your market and other ignorant reasons. But they accidentally are getting a good conference member. They are lucky though a bunch of their fans probably don't know it.

You will probably catch some bad vibes from some in the Belt, but you leave the Sun Belt better than it was when you entered and have been a great partner over the years.

I will definitely be rooting for you and will be excited to see what happens.

I would ask one thing....don't forget where you came from and all your years with us. You know we are still fighting,

We'll enjoy one last hurrah against stAte and all our SBC buddies in the fall. After that, it's going to be skull crushing time from Christmas break all the way through the SBC conf. tourney in Hot Springs.

Best of luck in the future stAte fans. There are many of us who would rather have you guys come with us than nUTSAx.

I will miss the games with ASU, ULL and MTSU. Us four helped make the Belt what it is today. I am proud to have been associated with those schools and programs, and hope that in the future we play. Now ULM on the other hand....good ridance.

Every once in a while a nickname that is so clever, and so fitting, comes along and I must adopt it into my vernacular. Oh, and attempt to use it so freely that I can fool someone into thinking I conjured it up myself.

And I was always proud of "MUTS" that I coined. But "nUTSAx" is truly brilliant.

I'll miss MTSU, ARK St, and ULL. Hopefully you guys will rid yourselves of Bensen and regain potential. I'll always root for SBC teams.

You're the one who coined that, Deep? Gol' darn, I was sitting next to royalty at one of our games last

Fall and didn't even know it! How are all the don's down in Sicily doing by the way? :)

      Another of many indications that NIL is broken

      I'll expand your question a little bit to ask, "what recourse might the MWC have because of this poaching?" Regarding a claim against the Pac-12, the first answer that comes to mind is not breach of contract, because the MWC and Pac-12 aren't in any type of agreement where a prohibition on poaching a team makes sense (unless they built that into their agreement to play football this year). But, tortious interference with a contract might apply. Essentially a party like the MWC in this scenario would have a claim against the Pac-12 because the Pac-12 interfered with MWC's agreement with Boise St., for example. There would be loads of questions about how damages can be calculated, but that's for actual lawyers and accountants on the case to decide. Another recourse for the MWC might be breach of contract against Boise St. But I have a very good feeling that in lieu of making a claim like that available to the MWC if Boise St. leaves, the MWC requires the substantial buy-out amount. Last couple notes on the tortious interference claim: MWC would never go after the Pac for that because it would open the flood gates to every other conference suing another conference each time a school moves. The MWC wouldn't want to sue the Pac to get some sort of damages for Boise St. leaving, and then turn around only to see C-USA to get the bright idea that it can sue the MWC for poaching TCU from many years ago (that's the latest example I could think of). Also, very likely that the NCAA, which charters the conferences and governs their administration quite a bit, has prohibitions on retaliatory litigation in the case of a school leaving. tl;dr: No, MWC probably wouldn't have any claims for many reasons.

      Chicago does not give a damn about NIU. They have a good program but they struggle to draw fans because DeKalb is pretty out there. They beat Notre Dame then couldn't even crack 20k the next week at home

      If our DB's can't provide man coverage for their one or two WR's allowing us to stack the line, then our DB's are a lot worse than I thought they were. Texada and Nelson should shut them down.

      Memphis, USF, UTSA, and Tulane all reject PAC-6, will remain in the AAC

      I don't think he's wrong at all... right now the only thing that the PAC has to offer is deflated name recognition and a swiftly dwindling treasure chest... they don't have any media rights guarantees and I bet whatever they are promising won't even be fulfilled. I applaud this guy.
