Tulsa appears to have gained another fertile recruiting territory in Texas.

The University of Texas-San Antonio is expected to join Conference USA in 2013, pending approval from the University of Texas System Board of Regents on Wednesday. The school board's agenda includes a vote to allow the school to accept an invitation to enter C-USA.

With the anticipated inclusion of the San Antonio market, it could provide dividends for Tulsa's football coaches.

"Texas has been a focus for us for quite some time," Golden Hurricane coach Bill Blankenship said about recruiting in the Lone Star state last season.

UTSA may not be the only school involved in C-USA's realignment, which is expected to take place in 2013. CBSSports.com's Brett McMurphy reported on Saturday that the conference is looking to add North Texas (in Denton, just outside of Dallas), which would keep the Metroplex in play for TU. The website also said Florida International (Miami) and Louisiana Tech (Ruston) could also enter the league.
