Very sad news. Pops was a great guy. Not many real blues men left. I'm going to miss him.

I was just thinking of Pops the other day, wondering if he was still around. He was an entertaining character.

Wow - I remember Pops. God bless him.

I played in a band called "The Dixie Rats" (obviously playing New Orleans "Dixieland" music) when I was a student (82-83), and when we would play at the "STAR" on Hickory, he would come in, and he'd want to sing some blues, and of course we did our best to play behind him. Just like they talk about in that video.

I knew a band he played with at times; called themselves the Atomic Antmen among other names. What a man, He and Levon Helm may be staying up late playing tonight.
