North Texas got some bad news this week on the injury front and is waiting for the results of a test on another key player.

Sophomore cornerback Freddie Warner, one of the few experienced defensive backs UNT has and a projected starter, tore his ACL during practice on Monday.

UNT has the MRI results that confirm the injury.

UNT is also waiting for test results that will come back later in the week on defensive tackle Ryan Boutwell. Head coach Dan McCarney said that UNT team doctors don't believe he has a torn ACL.

Both are out for the remainder of spring practice.

UNT can't afford to lose either player for the beginning of next season. Losing Warner to a torn ACL is a big blow.
