The key thing at this point is the depth of the conversation with LSU. Could have been a five-minute conversation or even an hour-long one. But the fact that Dixon didn't say he declined further talks should tell you he's at least willing to listen.

Of course, the spin from many media types will be that he needs to use it for leverage to get yet another extension. Fine, whatever.

I think JJ goes. Nobody wants that job. Money wise it makes sense , but in 3 or 4 years he will be looking for another job if decides not to retire. LSU is a horrible job and a place that's going to be very difficult to win at .

Pastner supposedly has contacted at LSU. If JJ is the guy, I think dragging this out makes him look like a person they just settled. Unfair to JJ considering a lot of Tiger fans are posting that they want "big name".

If JJ does go, can we change the buyout to something that gets us out of the football opener and magically opens a date for another team to come here?
